Library

Mount Holyoke's library collection totals more than 740,000 volumes and 1,600 periodical subscriptions. The Mount Holyoke College Library is part of the Five College Library System, which has a combined catalog of more than eight million volumes, and access to many electronic resources. We recently received the prestigious Excellence in Academic Libraries Award from the Association of College and Research Libraries.

With such vast resources, you'll be glad to know that our library staff are dedicated to assisting you in using and evaluating information sources, searching for information, verifying and citing sources, and using the Internet for research.

The library's main reading room, widely considered one of the most beautiful spots on campus, is a favorite place to read or work on a laptop computer via the wireless network. On the lower level, Rao's Café offers "fair trade" coffee, an assortment of hot and cold beverages, and fresh pastries.
