Five College Student Guest Accounts

Five College students registered for Mount Holyoke courses may need access to ella, MHC's learning management system, and also to MHC e-journals and other online library resources.  For this purpose, LITS provides one-semester guest accounts.

Use the Guest Accounts for Five College Students form if you have an email address from amherst.edu, hampshire.edu, smith.edu or umass.edu.  If you do not have an email account from one of the above schools, please visit the Information Commons to fill out a paper form.

Accounts are normally created within one day; you will receive your MHC login/username and password by email.  Once you receive your MHC username, you will need to give it to the faculty member teaching the MHC course.   S/he will then need to add this username to the ella course site so that you will have access to course materials.   The new MHC username will migrate into our ISIS registration system, but that process is slower.  The best thing to insure quick access as a 5 C student is to ask your faculty member to add your new username to the ella course site.

These accounts also provide access to MHC email.  We recommend that you forward your MHC email to your home institution once you have obtained a guest account.

A guest account is not needed for wireless internet access  You may get temporary wireless registration by clicking on the IP-request link at the login screen of Webmail/Webshell.
