Mount Holyoke is one of the first undergraduate institutions to merge its library and computing services. The result is Library, Information, and Technology Services (LITS), which combines the College's vast library, computing, Archives and Special Collections, media, and foreign language resources.
IC: Information Commons and Diagnostic Center
Reacting to an ever-increasing demand for access to online resources, state-of-the-art hardware and software programs, as well as all technical support services, LITS created the IC. Located on the fourth floor of Miles-Smith, the IC has more than 50 high-end computers including two collaborative work areas with oversized monitors.

MEWS: Mediated Educational Work Space
Located on the main floor of Dwight, the MEWS is a casual and supportive atmosphere with a 16 seat multi-media hands-on teaching space, two wall-mounted plasma displays, a staffed Digitization Center, a faculty development area. Additionally, there are two collaborative rooms equipped with computers and a large format display enabling groups of 6-8 to work on projects and edit collaboratively and dynamically.
To support multi-media projects, digital video cameras, digital still cameras, tripods, and other equipment are available from Media Services.

Need to meet with a group, practice a presentation? Need a quiet spot to study? There are many great places to study and work in LITS, whether you want a quiet nook or a place to meet with a small group.

Coffee in the Library?
Yes, Rao's Coffee, which sells a variety of drinks and treats, is located in the library court.
