Justice Clark , 2009

My name is Justice
Clark. I am a currently a junior and am majoring in Biology with a minor
in Anthropology. I am also pre-med. My home is Indianapolis, Indiana. I
am a coxswain on the varsity crew team and a member of the MERT squad here on
campus.
I have always had a passion for the sciences. Here at Mount Holyoke I have
become interested in health care in other cultures as well as
biological/physical anthropology. I am interested in how people have adapted to
their environments, specifically how their bodies and cultures have adapted to
emerging and reemerging infectious diseases.
I
am currently working in the Office of the President. I have worked there since
the beginning of my sophomore year. I am the student assistant in the office.
Working in the office has shown me the resources that the president’s office
provides for the college. I work closely with the administrative assistants to
the president. In this position I have had to opportunity to get to know and
appreciate the wonderful staff that works there.

Angelica Longe , 2009
My
name is Angelica Longe (also commonly known as Jelly) and I am a junior.
My academic focus is Economics and Complex Organizations. I am
from a small town in Western Massachusetts, Colrain, so I did not travel
far to get to Mount Holyoke. Outside of work and homework I like
to keep myself busy with several organizations, like Student Government
Association. But most of my spare time is spent getting to know
the students of this campus. I take pleasure in getting to know
different people and hearing their stories. You will often catch
me around campus sitting in a dining hall with a group of students chatting
and having a good time. I am known as a friendly easy going person.
Actually, I am the person a lot of first years go to if they need advice
or just someone to talk to.
Since
first year I have been working in the Mount Holyoke Dining Services,
Prospect to be exact. The last two years I have been the Administrative
Fellow to the Dining Services. I am the student manager of over
70 first year students every year. I get to meet all sorts of
different people every year and get to teach them important work related
skills. The job also gives me more experience with management
tasks and learning how to form a schedule and perform payroll for your
own staff. Working for Dining Services has not only improved my
resume, but it has also allowed me to meet all sorts of people.
In fact, the Prospect cooking staff has become like my family away from
home.
