Self Assessment

One of the first steps for beginning your career exploration is to learn more about yourself. Completing a self assessment can help you connect your skills and interests with job and career possibilities.

Self Assessment Worksheet

Get started with this self assessment worksheet from the CDC.

Monthly Self Assessment Workshops

The CDC hosts a workshop for the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), an assessment tool that can help you better understand the way you relate to the world through a variety of viewpoints. This understanding will be additionally applied to career paths that may be a fit for your type.

Students who are interested in taking the MBTI must first pick up an assessment from the CDC front desk. Once you have completed the assessment and returned it to the CDC for scoring, you may attend the next MBTI workshop, where a counselor will go over your results and help you connect your skills and interests to possible jobs and career fields.

Free Self Assessments Online

There are many self assessments available for free online. These are some of the ones recommended by the CDC:

JASPER Test
Princeton Review Career Quiz
Career Interest Game
