Each section lists useful Web sites to visit based on your career fields of interest. Many offer job listings, tips and techniques for conducting a job search in that certain area and links to other related sites.

Occupational Information

These sites can help you discover the occupations available to you, some ideas of what you can do with a chosen major.

  • O*NET OnLine: Occupational Information Network Occupational Information Network developed by the US Department of Labor lists information on about 1,000 occupations including description, projected growth, earnings, as well as skills, abilities, work values, and personality type compatible with the job. The database also offers a skills search to help the user identify occupations for exploration.
  • Occupational Outlook Handbook is a source for career descriptions, employment conditions, and prospects for future employment in a number of professional careers.
  • Kiersey Temperment Sorter an interesting personality inventory based on the Myers-Briggs (MBTI)
