Starting September 1, 2008, the Career Development Center will launch a new partnership with Interfolio enabling students and alumnae to manage their credentials files online, replacing the current paper-based credentials file service.

Since 1999, Interfolio has been the leading on-line dossier and credentials management company helping thousands of individuals collect, store, organize and distribute important documents for application to graduate school, medical school, teaching and other employment opportunities.

If you already have a credentials file at the CDC, we will honor your next request (use Request for Recommendations to be Sent Form below), sending your original paper credentials per your instructions, AND ask you to establish an account with Interfolio at that time.  With your permission, we will transfer your CDC credentials file to your account at Interfolio.

Once your original documents are transferred to Interfolio, they become a part of your official credentials file maintained by Interfolio.  Your existing file at the CDC will then be closed and destroyed to protect your privacy.  All future requests you make for distribution of your credentials must then go through Interfolio.

The CDC will not establish any new credentials files on-campus.  If you have NOT already established a credentials file and wish to create one, you will need to establish an account directly with Interfolio.  Using Interfolio, you can store letters of recommendation, transcripts, writing samples, and other credentials -- and manage distribution of these documents 24/7, all from the Interfolio website (www.interfolio.com).

Interfolio is a convenient service utilized by students and alumnae of leading institutions like Duke University, Williams College, University of Chicago, Oberlin College, Georgetown University and many more.
