Recruiting Opportunities
There exist many benefits for employers and the students of Mount Holyoke College through an established relationship with the Career Development Center (CDC). It is well documented that the cooperative partnership facilitates a successful joining of the employment aspirations of our students and the personnel needs of recruiting organizations.
When you meet the students of Mount Holyoke, you will find they posses the skills you seek for the 21st century. You will find great abilities in the areas of communication skills, leadership, problem solving, computer and database technologies, research, and abstract thought.
On-Campus Programs Interviewing On-campus interviewing occurs between October and May. The CDC has 4 purpose-built interviewing rooms allowing for convenience, comfort, and privacy. If you wish to review resumes in advance of your visit, we will collect them and send them to you for pre-screening. Information Sessions We encourage you to conduct information sessions while you are at Mount Holyoke. Our presentation room has full audio-visual capabilities, internet access, and seating for 55 attendees. Day-Long Interview Schedules Our facilities are capable of conducting up to four simultaneous, day-long interviewing schedules. These can be conducted in 30 minute, 45 minute, or hour-long interview slots. Convenient overnight arrangements within a 5 minute walk to the CDC and local restaurants can be arranged. Five College Interviewing You may invite students from the other four members of the Five College Consortium–Amherst, Smith, and Hampshire Colleges and the University of Massachusetts–to participate in the interviewing schedule at Mount Holyoke. Resumé Referral (Batch Collections) This service is available to any employer unable to meet students at our campus. We will advertise your opportunities, collect resumes, and forward them to you so that you may review, select potential candidates, and invite them for an interview.
Off-Campus Job Fairs Job fairs and consortia allow many employers who cannot visit our campus the ability to meet with our students on interviewing days in area cities. Mount Holyoke participates in pre-screened interviewing programs in Boston and New York City through the Liberal Arts Recruiting Connection (LARC) . We also coordinate career fairs, especially for not-for-profit organizations, in Boston, New York and Washington, D.C.
