Interfaith Lunches!
Interfaith Lunch will resume on Dec. 3.  Our topic for Dec. 3 and Dec. 10 (the last IFL of the fall semester) will be:  "Family, Faith and Holidays - the Challenges You Face".  Some of us are going home, some to a friends' house, some might not have a place to go.  What meaningful events will you participate in?  What are the Family roles and stress?  The Blue Holidays, why should I be happy?  Come talk with us about the joys and stresses involved with family gatherings and parties, their exprectations, and yours.  How do you prepare yourself for the good times and the possible sad, or not so good times?  Join us for reflection, community, and a delicious vegan lunch.  All are welcome.

Religious and Spiritual Life

Here at Mount Holyoke, you have the opportunity to be part of a vibrant and diverse spiritual community.

Mount Holyoke is one of the few liberal arts colleges in the country to actively support nine faith groups on campus. Whether you adhere to one particular faith or are a nondenominational seeker looking for a spiritual home or homes here, you will have many opportunities to learn about, explore, and participate in a wide range of traditions and activities.

Eliot House is the center of spiritual life at Mount Holyoke. Located in the heart of the campus, Eliot House bustles with students, faculty, and staff who attend the many programs, lunches, workshops, services, feasts, and festivals that are held here. We hope you enjoy this site and that you will visit Eliot House soon!

Abbey Memorial Chapel is located across from Eliot House. Its grand main chapel is spacious enough to host large ceremonies while Abbey Interfaith Sanctuary offers an intimate home for all faith groups on campus and can accommodate small weddings.

We also have a wonderful labyrinth made by our own students several years ago during January term.

What is a Labyrinth, you ask:

"The Labyrinth is a riddle
It is the cosmos and the world
The life of human kind, the womb of the earth
The journey, the way to the center
The way to ourselves"
--Ursa Krattiger Tinga

A labryinth is a path that leads you to wherever you let it take you. A  place to meditate, a path to calm, to understanding yourself. It is a  time to reenergize yourself in whatever way works for you. A time for  yourself - and don't you deserve it?

I hope you'll take advantage of this wonderful offering to our community.
